Can I run Compozy entirely on my local machine without cloud dependencies?

Yes. Compozy executes entirely locally with zero runtime dependencies and no required accounts or telemetry. You provide your own API keys for the AI models you choose, whether that's Claude, Codex, Gemini, Ollama, OpenRouter, or any of the 35+ other supported agents. The only external call is to your chosen model's API.

What happens to the outputs from each phase of the seven-step pipeline?

All artifacts are written as plain markdown files that can be versioned, diffed, and committed directly to your repository. The pipeline produces outputs at each stage: idea becomes a PRD, PRD becomes a technical specification, specification becomes executable tasks, tasks get code generated, code goes through review, and the entire workflow creates a persistent memory layer for future runs.

If I switch between different AI models, do agents lose context about my codebase and previous work?

No. Compozy automatically enriches all agents with codebase analysis and maintains cross-task workflow memory with automatic compaction. When you switch models, the agents have access to the same repository context and the accumulated memory from earlier phases, so context persists across agent changes and pipeline stages.

What does Compozy cost beyond the API fees for my chosen AI models?

Compozy itself is free and open source under the MIT license. A cloud option is coming soon, and enterprise licensing is available by contacting them directly, but the core CLI with full orchestration capability requires no payment.
